Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) sebagai forum pendidikan tinggi menyelenggarakan banyak sekali kegiatan studi untuk meningkatkan kualitas Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM). Dalam upaya peningkatan SDM tersebut, UNY melaksanakan seleksi untuk mendapat mahasiswa yang berpotensi dari para calon mahasiswa yang makin bertambah dari tahun ke tahun.

Bagi Anda yang tidak lulus mengikuti seleksi UNY melalui julur SNMPTN dan SBMPTN, Anda sanggup mengikuti seleksi penerimaan mahasiswa gres melalui jalur Seleksi Mandiri. Berikut beberapa persyaratan yang harus dipenuhi untuk mengikuti  Seleksi Mandiri UNY Berbasis Ujian Tulis, yaitu:
a. Seleksi calon mahasiswa gres D3 dan S1 berdasar test akademik.
b. Peserta yaitu lulusan Ujian Nasional SMA/MA/SMK/Paket C atau yang setara tahun 2016, 2017, atau 2018.
c. Alur registrasi sanggup dilihat di laman http://pmb.uny.ac.id
d. Memilih maksimal 2 (dua) kegiatan studi S1 dan/atau D3 untuk Kelompok SAINTEK, SOSHUM atau CAMPURAN.
e. Membayar biaya registrasi sebesar Rp200.000,00 untuk kelompok SAINTEK atau SOSHUM, dan Rp 250.000,00 untuk Kelompok CAMPURAN. Calon peserta yang menentukan Prodi yang mensyaratkan uji keterampilan     membayar biaya sebesar Rp 100.000,00 per prodi. Pembayaran dilakukan melalui Bank Mandiri. 2) Kelompok SOSHUM mencakup Tes Potensi Akademik, Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Inggris, dan Bidang Studi  IPS.
3) Kelompok CAMPURAN mencakup Tes Potensi Akademik, Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Inggris, Bidang Studi IPA, dan IPS.
